# Chat agent

> What the agent can do on its own, and what it always asks you before doing.

The chat panel next to every job's canvas isn't just for questions. It can act: draft a brief, run a search, edit a listing, send outreach.

## What it can do without asking

Anything constructive or reversible: drafting a brief, running a search, shortlisting candidates, drafting a listing. These don't need your approval, because undoing them costs nothing.

## What it always asks before doing

Anything that affects a real candidate or sends something external, pushing to candidates, sending outreach, withdrawing an application, always stops and asks you to confirm first, showing you exactly what it's about to do.

## Approval is specific

Confirming one action doesn't pre-approve similar ones later. Each destructive action gets its own confirmation, tied to that specific request, not a blanket approval that covers whatever comes next.
