# The candidate view

> The six tabs on a candidate's profile, and what each one is for.

Click into any candidate from a job's Candidates tab to open their full view: profile, process, match, messages, notes, and activity.

## Profile

The candidate's full profile: everything from the corpus, plus anything they've edited themselves. This is the same view whether they came from search, applied directly, or were referred.

## Process

Their progress through this job's screening steps: what's done, what's pending, and any recommended next action. Locked until they've been pushed past the shortlist stage.

## Match

Their score against this job's criteria, with the per-criterion breakdown and narrative. See [Reading match scores](/companies/match-scores).

## Messages

The outreach thread with this candidate for this job. Replies come back into the same thread.

## Notes

Anything your team wants to record about this candidate, internal only.

## Activity

A timeline of everything that's happened on this application: state changes, messages, completed steps, all of it, in order.
