# Actions

> Staffer's core interface isn't a form, it's a conversation. Describe what you need and the agent does it.

Most hiring software is a form you fill in. Staffer is a conversation you have.

Every job lives inside a chat, not a wizard. Describe the role, and the agent sketches a complete brief in one or two turns. Ask it to search, and it searches. Ask it to rewrite the listing, shortlist the top five, or start a new job from one you already have, and it does exactly that, live, in front of you.

## It acts, it doesn't just answer

The agent isn't a search box with a chat wrapper. It calls real tools: drafting briefs, running searches, editing listings, moving candidates through your pipeline. You see the result land on the canvas as it happens.

## You stay in control

Anything reversible, drafting, searching, shortlisting, happens immediately. Anything that touches a real candidate or sends something external always stops and asks first. Nothing acts on your pipeline without your say-so.
