Hiring managers want to see the candidates and give a verdict, without learning a new tool. Staffer gives you two ways to do that, and they suit different situations.
1

Create the share

Open the job, click the … menu at the top right, then Share…. Pick the candidates, choose what to include (Profile, Match score, Your notes) and how long the link lasts. Turn on Allow recipients to add notes so they can reply on the page.
2

Send it

After Create share, copy the link, or email it to up to 20 people with an optional personal note.
3

Read their notes

Notes they leave come back to each candidate’s Notes tab and Activity, marked as coming from the shared link. They don’t change the match score.
Things to know before you send one:
  • Everyone you send it to gets the same link, even though the email asks them not to forward it. Anyone with the link can open it until it expires or you revoke it.
  • Anonymize names hides names and photos only. Current title, employer and location still show, so a reviewer can often work out who someone is.
  • Shortlisted candidates can’t be shared. Promote them first.
  • Messages and your activity timeline are never shared.
Extend or revoke a link from the Active shares tab of the same dialog. See Share candidates.

Option 2: make them a reviewer on a step

When the hiring manager decides on candidates regularly, put their decision in the process.
1

Invite them

Invite them from Settings → Workspace → Members with the role Reviewer — read-only + complete assigned steps. See Invite your team.
2

Add a review step

On the job’s Process tab, add a Review step with the method Human approval and add them under Reviewers. Add Instructions for reviewer to tell them what to look for. Click Save.
3

They decide

When a candidate reaches the step, the reviewer gets a notification that a step is assigned to them. They open the candidate, read the profile and match, and approve or reject.
With Rejection disqualifies off (the default), a reject completes the step and suggests rejecting the candidate, and you make the final call. Turn it on if their reject should end the application straight away. Reviewers can read everything in the workspace and complete steps they’re named on. They can’t message candidates, change stages or edit jobs. See Roles and permissions.

Whichever you choose

Give the hiring manager a few candidates at a time, with a clear question: “Which two would you interview?” gets a faster answer than “What do you think?”.
