You can pull out of a hiring process at any point, for any reason. Withdrawing stops the process on your side straightaway.

Where to withdraw

If you’re using the private link a recruiter sent you, go to its Privacy tab. That’s the only way to withdraw without an account: the AI assistant on that page can’t do it for you. If you’re signed in to Staffer, you have three ways to get there:
  • Your applications list: open the … menu on the row and click Withdraw application.
  • Any application page: the copilot’s own Application actions menu, same button.
  • The application’s Privacy tab, same as above.

What you’re asked to confirm

From the applications list or the copilot’s Application actions menu, you get a quick confirmation: “Withdraw this application? The hiring team will see your decision and stop the process for this role.” Confirm, or back out. From the Privacy tab, it’s more deliberate: “Withdraw your application?” “You’ll be removed from this hiring process. A recruiter can reopen it, but from your side this is final.” Click Withdraw application to go ahead, or Cancel. If you ask your copilot to withdraw you instead of clicking through, it checks with you first by default, showing you exactly what it’s about to do before it does it. Tell it why, for example that you accepted another offer, and it’ll pass that along.

What the company sees

Your application’s stage changes to Withdrawn everywhere the company looks at it.
You can’t undo a withdrawal yourself. Only the recruiter can move your application back into their process. Message them if you change your mind.

Common questions

No, withdrawing only ends this application. See Your data and privacy for deleting your information.
Only if you tell them. Withdrawing itself doesn’t require a reason, though you can add one when you ask your copilot to do it for you.
