A shortlist is a holding area. Adding someone to it doesn’t notify them, start a process, or commit you to anything.
Building a shortlist
Add candidates from search results, one at a time or in a batch through chat. Anyone shortlisted for a job shows up in that job’s Candidates tab, still at the shortlist stage.
Pushing to candidates
When you’re ready to actually reach out, push the shortlist. This is the moment a candidate becomes a real, active application:
- Their profile is captured as a snapshot, so later updates to their corpus profile don’t change what you already reviewed.
- Staffer sets up their screening process from the job’s process steps.
- Their state moves from shortlist to in review.
Pushing is what starts the process. There’s no confirmation step after this, so don’t push candidates you’re not ready to move forward with yet.
